Want to boost your résumé?

If you want to gain the tools to effectively deliver information — information needed by the public to make informed decisions about public health, as well as information needed by policy makers to make informed policy decisions — then this concentration may be right for you.

The Health Communication Concentration (HCC) was designed to provide a basic grounding in communication strategies to all HSPH students. Two-year master's students and doctoral students are eligible and are required to take at least 10 credits from the selected grouping, as described below. Upon graduation, the students will receive a letter certifying the completion of HCC requirements.

In addition to gaining skills in health communication and standing out to employers, students in the concentration will also receive additional advising on matters related to courses, requirements, and career options in health communication. This is above and beyond advising provided by their formal department-assigned academic advisors, and will be provided by a member of the HCC steering committee.

For further details about the concentration, including requirements and administration, visit the Health Communication Concentration web site Health Communication Concentration.
